The icare NSW Case Management Awards recognise the hard work and professionalism of our people and the very real contribution they make to the employers and workers we support.

We are proud to announce the following four team members have made it to the 2025 finals in recognition of their outstanding dedication to our purpose: helping people to get their lives back.

Introducing our 2025 finalists

Named a finalist in the Excellence in Specialist Case Management category is Greg Whitehead. Greg's unwavering support and expert care throughout Rob Hodgson’s recovery from a workplace related illness (and subsequent heart transplant) was featured in our Rob's story video series which you can watch here

Dakota Skara has been recognised in the Excellence in Specialist Case Management category for her expertise, diligence and compassionate care – traits which contributed to Toby Popple’s remarkable recovery from a life altering injury to realising his dream of playing for NSW. Toby’s story is available here.

Catherine Joseph our finalist in the Excellence in Injury Management (Mental Health Injury) category has contributed significantly to the success of our Recovery Pathways pilot which was established to improve outcomes on mental health claims involving interpersonal conflict by providing specialist support for the first 14 weeks of the claim. The early results of this pilot are incredibly promising with improved return to work outcomes, earlier access to treatment and higher rates of upgrades in capacity. Find out more through our Recovery Pathways page.

Ali Virani has been named as a finalist in Excellence in Injury Management (Physical Injury) for his passionate and empathetic work in our Recovering Independence team. Ali supports workers who have not returned to work within 78 weeks and often face multiple barriers to resuming their pre-injury roles and ultimately getting back to their life.

Congratulations to our four finalists on being recognised for helping people get their lives back and we wish them all the best for the awards in May 2025.
