The PIEF Excellence in Personal Injury and Disability Management Awards celebrates outstanding service, innovation and best practice in the personal injury and disability industry.
The release of the app is part of EML Group’s focus on delivering technology based solutions to support workers and help people get their lives back.
“I only have positive feedback regarding the app so far. It is easy to use and navigate and it allows me to easily keep track of payments, appointments...” said one injured worker.
Traditionally, injured workers have relied on case managers and employers for updates on payments, reimbursements and appointment schedules, which can be complicated and inconvenient. The ingenuity of RecoveryMate simplifies this by offering greater independence through easy access to essential information about the worker’s claim such as records of recent payments, and helpful resources on what to expect about their claim journey.
RecoveryMate securely integrates with various claims systems and allows users to complete, sign and submit forms directly through the app as well as click to call functionality to contact the case manager.
The app functionality enables workers to independently resolve their administrative queries regarding payments, medical certificates, and treatment. This independence for workers presents case managers with more time to focus on activities that support the recovery and return to work.
Funded by the Mutual Benefits Program, this innovative project led to the creation of an app usable across multiple jurisdictions and claims systems.
Since launch, 4,250 workers have registered on the app across EML Group portfolios. Over 16,500 documents have been uploaded through the app, payment details checked over 10,000 times and the informative videos viewed ~3,000 times.
