EML Group joins forces with MATES in Construction to champion mental health in the building industry
In another significant collaboration for the Australian construction sector, EML Group is proudly partnering with MATES in Construction, the leading suicide prevention charity for tradies and construction workers.
EML is one of the largest specialists in personal injury claims management in Australia with a strong track record of supporting workers in high-risk industries, including construction. The new collaboration with MATES is part of EML’s ongoing commitment to promoting mental health and wellbeing in the workplace and creating a supportive environment for all workers.
“EML’s purpose is to help people get their lives back. Our partnership with MATES will help to extend services and support even further, providing construction workers with additional access to critical suicide prevention services,” said Daniel Walton, EML Group Executive.
EML's funding through their Mutual Benefits Program will enable MATES to boost its on-site support and training in New South Wales by deploying two new Field Officers. This expansion is anticipated to positively impact the lives of approximately 2,300 construction workers every year by giving them access to vital resources and support, empowering them to build brighter futures both on and off the job.
This partnership marks a significant step towards building a more resilient and supportive construction industry in Australia. By prioritising mental health and investing in proactive initiatives, EML and MATES are paving the way for a safer, healthier and happier future for all those who build our nation.
