As the year draws to a close, we proudly reflect on the significant strides we've made in fostering healthier and more mentally resilient workplaces across Australia. A key part of our strategy has been building strong partnerships with industry leaders through our Mutual Benefits Program.
One of our most impactful partnerships is with MATES in Construction, a leading suicide prevention charity dedicated to supporting tradies and construction workers.
Through our Mutual Benefits Program, we have funded the addition of two new Field Officers in New South Wales. This investment has not only boosted on-site support and training but was also expected to benefit approximately 2,300 workers each year, significantly improving their quality of life.
Since the partnership began 12 months ago, the new Field Officers have surpassed our expectations by training over 4,300 construction workers, equipping these workers with the tools and knowledge to better manage their mental health and help support their peers, when in need.
To get a deeper understanding of what this partnership is about and how it has impacted workers in the industry, we encourage you to take a look at these videos:
Mark Coyne, Executive Director, EML and Lindsay Collins, NRL player and Ambassador for MATES, talk about the partnership.
Our new Field Officers talk about their experiences and the difference they are making on-site.
Thank you to everyone who has been a part of this journey. Here’s to a healthier, more resilient 2025!
